Day 23, London

Since we were in the area we decided to take a tiki tour to Slough. Again, you might ask why .... and the answer is because there were not a lot of other places around to visit, apart from a castle or two, and anyway we were intrigued.  Our friends from Manchester, Grant and Jenny, lived there upon their arrival back in the UK from NZ - not out of choice, but following the teaching jobs.
I will have to say that we were pleasantly surprised by Slough, as on the surface it didn't appear to be too bad. It was clean, and had a mall where Neil got a reasonable haircut and a replacement jacket (from a charity store - not so much to lose next time!)
For tea we visited a pub back in Hounslow called The Bell, then watched an episode of Coronation Street, (only a couple of months ahead of Australia now), and went to sleep before the Indians woke us up again.
