Day 22, London

We finally got to meet Veronique today, after seeing her photo and hearing about her from Dan over the past five years. They first met about a day after our first actual meeting with Dan in London in 2011. All in all a significant year for the Greenwoods!
Of course we met at the Bull and Gate, and had a yummy English lunch and some fine wine. Veronique is as awesome as I had imagined - a perfect partner for our Dan.
After lunch we went our separate ways, promising not to leave it another five years.  At our age that would be silly, especially with retirement looming.
On our way to Kings Cross Station Neil and I walked through the old family cemetery at St Pancras Old Church, in the vain hope that I might happen upon a Greenwood grave or two, but I fear that many have disappeared with the development of the station a few years ago.
Back at Hounslow we went for a walk and found yet another Indian restaurant, but in a British pub. They made a nice Chicken Jalfreezi, and not as salty as the genuine Indian one at the motel.
We were entertained until the wee small hours by the male members of the family, who lived on the premises, partying and arguing in the barbecue area just beneath our window.  Some of the things they were drunkenly saying to each other were quite disturbing, but fortunately they did not carry them out - as far as I know!
