Day 14, London

Sadly the time had come to say goodbye - or rather see you later.  Helen called us an Uber and we were off to the Flixbus terminal to get the 1.10pm to London. Once again it was a comfortable trip, apart from the bit where the bus goes onto a train carriage and is locked in for the Channel crossing.  It felt freaky to me, being in a bus in a train in a tunnel under the water. Fortunately it is only twenty or so minutes and then you can see light again.
From Folkestone up to London was uneventful and then the last part was at a snail's pace, as happens in this congested city. It was a pretty sight though, crossing the Thames at sunset.
Somehow we managed to find the 390 bus from Kings Cross station to Camden and our AirBnb accommodation, arriving there just on dark.
The apartment had plenty of room, but it looked liked the owner had just gone away for the weekend, with all of her personal belongings on display, including a pair of bright pink knickers in front of the washing machine!  It didn't really bother us, but we would never do that ourselves, and when people complain about our own AirBnb being dusty or the bed being too soft, we wonder how they would get on at this one in Camden.
