After we checked out, we left our luggage at the hotel and went to meet Adele and her friend at Naschmarkt in the city. After much deliberating we decided on a seafood restaurant, and of course I had to have salmon again. Not really a fan of traditional Austrian/German food. We had a big catchup and a wander around, and then it was time for us to pick up our bags and make our way to the airport.
We caught the tram to the Wien Mitte station, in a mall in the heart of Vienna, where we could actually check our luggage in because we were flying Austrian Air. We then had only hand luggage from there to Bangkok - really good service. The airport train picked us up from there and took us to the terminal 16 minutes away.
At the airport we wiled away the time until boarding at 10.20pm and settled in for our ten hour flight to Bangkok.
