Day 53, Brossac

Neil set the alarm for 5.30am and said goodbye, or rather a bientot,  to Richa, and then shortly afterwards the YMCA skyped me early.  They prepared me for a half hour interview an hour later, which was quite bizarre as I could only see between Lynette and Jana and not their faces.  Anyway, that went relatively smoothly and they said they would get back to me very soon.  Very soon turned out to be an hour later and I got the job:)
No time to think about that however as I had a shed to tidy and then we all went to a workingmen's lunch at Le Poirier Gaston in Bardenac.  We got seven courses for five euros - soup, potato and veges, fish, sausages, dessert, cheese and then coffee.  This is the kind of lunch the working people in the area always have, usually paid for by their bosses.  Nice.
After arriving back at La Giraudiere I was finally able to write my resignation letter (two pages including dot points as to why I had to leave), and found some required documentation online for my new bosses.
I went to bed really tired while Neil went off to poker with Paul in the village till around midnight.
