We bit the bullet and went to the Louvre. I knew Neil wanted to go as we missed out in 2011 when we arrived there on Xmas day, the only day it is closed. The queue was only half an hour long - great by Paris summer standards, and it was of course worth the wait. Big as.
After a couple of hours there we trotted off to Notre Dame, a place I had seen numerous times but never bothered to enter. Again a worthwhile exercise.
We actually arrived back at the apartment by 4pm, so had time to relax, have tea on the balcony and watch another couple of episodes of Breaking Bad before going to bed for the last time in this AirBnb. My birthday tomorrow and off to stay with our friends Louise and Stephane at St Remy Les Chevreuses.
