Day 37, Paris

We decided to investigate a modern shopping centre so went to the Forum at Les Halles.  It was new and big, although not quite finished.  After our return there was a terrorist scare there, and it was evacuated.
Within walking distance from there was the Rue des Lombards, which houses many of the most popular jazz clubs in Paris, including Le Baiser Sale, recommended to us by our friend Chris Tuck. We decided after checking them out to go back the next night and enjoy some food and music - if we could muster the energy!
In the afternoon we visited the Pere Lachaise cemetery in the eastern part of the city, with the aim of viewing Jim Morrison's grave. It was quite a walk uphill to finally find the site, which was rather underwhelming compared to many of the other imposing and often elaborate graves along the way. All in all it was a worthwhile visit, and of course there are other well known people buried there as well, including Moliere, Chopin, Edith Piaf and Oscar Wilde, to name just a few.
We relaxed back at the apartment at the end of the day, drinking wine and watching a few episodes of Breaking Bad on Sebastien's Netflix account.
