The morning thank goodness was a lot cooler. We had a good look around the old quirky apartment with its quaint washing machine, squeaky wooden floors and small but functional balcony with a view onto the Seine. Sebastien, our host, had left us a message on the board, and he remained contactable during our visit.
We had breakfast across the road at Le Grand Corona - pricey, but a good start. We then shopped at the local Carrefour and planned the rest of our day.
Having always been a fan of the French impressionists, I persuaded Neil that a visit to the Musee D'Orsay would be a good thing, and I think he enjoyed it. It is not as big as the Louvre, but still big enough, and after a gourmet meal of spaghetti and wine, we once again needed no rocking to get to sleep that night.
