Neil has always been keen to go to Bath, and as it was virtually down the road from Wells, we all went there for the day. Lynn parked in a Park and Ride, and we caught the local bus into town and, even with Lynn there, we took another Hop On Hop Off bus. There is a lot more to Bath than baths, but of course we had to do the tour through the famous spa and even I was impressed with the history and the detail, and the feeling of being back in Roman times ,albeit briefly.
Not long after we arrived back in Wells, Lynn's sister Lorraine turned up. I hadn't seen her since Lynn and I were teenagers in Tauranga, NZ, and Lorraine would have been about five - so that's a very long time ago! We had a fun evening, with Lorraine proving herself to be a budding standup comic. She would certainly have a career there if she ever wanted to.
We had a yummy Indian meal cooked by Lynn and many glasses of vino, including Prosecco, which I had not previously tried, strangely enough.
